Shift Tracker ("the App") is designed to help users track their work shifts, calculate allowances, and analyze shift data. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

Information Storage

What Data is Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following information locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework:

• Shift Records:
  • Shift dates and times (start time, end time, decimal hours)
  • Duty types (e.g., Uniform Duty, Training, etc.)
  • Team assignments (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo)
  • Call signs
  • Crew size information
  • Operational classification (Ops/Non-Ops)
• Operational Statistics (when applicable):
  • Number of messages
  • Persons checked
  • Vehicles checked
  • Arrests made
  • Arrest message numbers
• Financial Information:
  • Hourly rate(s) you set
  • Rate period history with effective dates
  • Calculated allowances (computed from your hours and rates)
• App Settings:
  • Your preferences for rate calculations

All this data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to any servers or third parties.

What We Do NOT Collect

The App does NOT collect, access, transmit, or share:

• ❌Personal identifying information (name, email, phone number, address)
• ❌Location data or GPS coordinates
• ❌Device identifiers
• ❌Usage analytics or crash reports
• ❌Advertising identifiers
• ❌Contacts, photos, or other media
• ❌Browser history or search history
• ❌Any data from other apps

Network Activity

Data Export and Import

User-Controlled Data Export

The App provides an optional feature to export your shift data to a JSON file. This export:

• Is completely optional and initiated only by you
• Creates a file stored locally on your device or shared via iOS share sheet
• Includes your shift records and rate periods
• Gives you full control over where the file is sent (e.g., AirDrop, Files app, email)
• Does not automatically send data anywhere

User-Controlled Data Import

The App allows you to import previously exported JSON files:

• Only works with files you explicitly select
• Merges imported data with existing local data
• Does not transmit data anywhere

iCloud Backup

If you have enabled iCloud Backup in your device settings, your iOS device may automatically back up the App's local data to your personal iCloud account. This is controlled by your device's system settings, not by the App.

To manage iCloud Backup:

1. Go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups
2. Select your device
3. Toggle Shift Tracker on or off under "Choose Data to Back Up"

Data Security

Your data security is important:

• All data is stored locally using Apple's secure SwiftData framework
• The App uses iOS's built-in security features
• Data is protected by your device's passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID
• No data is transmitted over networks, eliminating transmission-related security risks

Data Retention and Deletion

• You control all data: All shift records and settings are under your complete control
• Delete individual records: Swipe to delete any unlocked shift
• Delete all data: Uninstalling the App from your device removes all stored data
• No remote copies: Since no data is transmitted, there are no server-side copies to delete

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since all data remains on the device and is entered by the user, we do not have access to any user information regardless of age.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or social media platforms.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

International Users

The App is designed to work only in Singapore and stores all data locally on your device, regardless of your location. No data crosses international borders through the App itself (though iCloud backup, if enabled, follows Apple's iCloud terms of service).

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not collect or have access to your information:

• Right to Access: You can view all your data within the App
• Right to Modify: You can edit any unlocked shift records
• Right to Delete: You can delete any records or uninstall the App
• Right to Export: You can export your data to JSON format
• Right to Privacy: Your data never leaves your device (except via user-initiated export or system-level iCloud backup)
